Bronwen Cunningham
Pieced Silk

Bronwen Cunningham, mostly self-taught, uses a palette of diverse silks to make jackets, cushions, ties and scarves. She not only contrasts colours, but textures of over 300 different silks, cut and pieced in geometric shapes, including curves. This combination of shiny, matt and reflective surfaces gives the work a startling richness.
