Kiln Formed Glass

Julie produces a wide range of decorative pieces for the home, using the techniques of fusing and slumping glass. This involves sandwiching two or more layers of glass, placing enamels and other inclusions at various levels, and then melting the glass to create a fusion of the design. This is flat, so if required, the piece is fired a second time, to bend into or over a ceramic mould. Each piece is unique and unrepeatable.

Opening Times:
The workshop is in Newhaven, East Sussex (near Brighton). It is not open to the public, however visits can be accommodated by appointment.
