Louise creates highly individual handbags – each one a unique celebration of her love of colour, drama and texture. Fascinated by flowers, Louise is inspired to create her Flower Bags, where bold designs and strong colours are intricately embellished with machine embroidery and beadwork. Historical costumes are also a source of inspiration and ruffles, puffs and ruching are amongst the techniques she uses.

Louise's work has evolved from an academic study of art, craft, design and a tradition of making. She loves the things she makes to have a use but within that realm her designs are sensuous, tactile, exciting, surprising and vibrant with colour.
