Matthew Bayman
Pottery
Matthew Bayman makes functional and decorative stoneware pots. His domestic range is wood-fired to 1280 degrees centigrade using chestnut that he coppices from his woodland every winter. His glazes contain the wood ash that this work produces. He also makes gas-fired pots that explore colour and texture in a more formal way.
