Lettering and Carving

After 40 years working as a lettercutter and carver in stone and wood, Paul’s work can be seen in many cathedrals, churches, public buildings, schools and private homes.

Enjoying working with clients to create mutually satisfying pieces, his work is individually designed and produced. His aim is to make good, clear and artistic pieces that are satisfying to the eye.

One of his favourite materials is slate which has an individual character of its own, but he is equally happy working in all English stones. He also enjoys working on commissions of wood carving and sign-writing.
